Here's some treadmill tunes for you.

I had to swing by Wal-Mart to pick up some mascara last night and I mosied on over to the yarn area. Not much of a selection but then again, it's Wal-Mart so that doesn't surprise me. I'm planning on crocheting a few lap throws for Dan and I for this winter and I might tackle an afghan as well. Still deciding on colors. I need to run over to the school and drop off my July payment so while I'm in the area I'm gonna hit up Michaels and Hobby Lobby to see what they have for yarn.

I meant to post last night when I got to work but discovered that the wireless there was being a bit dodgy. Home from work, tea/email/treadmill/shower and now I'm off to bed cause I'm completely knackered.

Sunday Morning at the Bird Feeder

Around 06:30 this morning I made a cup of tea, grabbed my book (Hunter by PC Cast) and went to sit out on the back patio. We've had the hummingbird feeder up for a while but I've only seen them visit a few times. I was in the middle of reading and I heard this whirring noise. I looked up to see two hummingbirds darting around the feeder. Ok, so it was more like one chasing the other one around like, 'Um, this is my feeder and if you come near it I will kick your little hummingbird ass.' True story. So I ran inside and got my camera and managed to snap these photos. After a while two more hummingbirds showed up but the male (I'm assuming) kept chasing the other ones off. Man they are fast!

And of course, since he was sitting so pretty (and not barking for once) I had to take a photo of Jake.

Chocolate Chip Blondies

Go ahead, drool all you want. And I know you want to.

Yes, they're probably loaded with calories and fat and carbs but when they look this good, who really cares?

Ok, now for the recipe:

1 box of yellow cake mix

1 stick of butter (melted works best)

2 eggs

1 bag of chocolate chips

Spray brownie pan with Pam or any non-stick spray.

Preheat oven to 350*

Add cake mix, butter and eggs. Stir until mixed. Fold in chips. Pour into brownie pan.

Bake for about 30-40 mins. I originally set the timer for 30 mins but ended up leaving it in for a little bit longer. I guess it depends on your oven. Just keep an eye on it. :)

Easy peasy.

Serve them cold or hot with ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup!
