In The Works

I've had two SMASH journals sitting on my desk since they first came out. I had no idea what I wanted to put in them, except that it be one large project. I've still got a lot of the Alaska tidbits that I collected that summer and though it would be a good way to showcase them. Plane tickets, coffee sleeves, maps, tickets, correspondence, etc. The photo below is the inside cover. For the most part, all paper, embellishments and washi tape are from Studio Calico.

I have a bad habit of keeping hotel room keys. I must have almost 100 of them. I used washi tape to seal the bottom of the coffee sleeve and then adhered it to the page with double-stick tape. A perfect little place for my cards.

I had a leftover map of Anchorage so I used that for the background and stuck some baggage claim stickers at the bottom. I'll probably add some small Instagram photos as well.

A large view of the page, along with the TSA ticket.

This was our first schedule that Tony had made out of Stephanie and I. Washi tape, acrylic dots and some stickers complete the page.

This hung on our cabin door for the better part of the season. I ripped it off before we left. It pretty much sums up the summer there.

I love this empty Top 10 list. I'm using the mini alphabet stickers to add the top 10 quotes from the summer.

I've still got lots of stuff to add but I wanted to post what I've got so far.

Is anyone else using their SMASH journal for a large, single project?

We'll Miss You Jim

So incredibly saddened to hear of his passing. The world lost an amazing person today.

Planning

For the past few weeks I've been researching, crunching numbers and dreaming of Alaska. For those of you who have been keeping up, I worked on the Katmai for the 2011 summer season. I have to go back. I need to go back. So, next year *fingers crossed* I'll be taking the Man and the Boy for a week long visit. On the agenda: Denali, Whittier, Seward and some fresh Pacific Cod from Humpy's.

Photo snagged from here. You can find the rest of my Alaska Wanderlust board on Pinterest here.

Favorite Summer Colors

Coral, teal & yellow.
Summer love.
Favorite Summer Colors

Good Morning! Now Get Your Ass Out of Bed & Get Moving!

I spent the past hour or so transferring songs and re-syncing iPads, iPods, iPhones and iTunes so I could have all of my favorite music in one place. Just for this. This playlist is what I'll be jamming to in the morning (as in 0600) while I ride my bike through town. Hope you enjoy it!

Wish List {Girly Girl}

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

The Wish List {Girly Girl}

Although, I did manage to find this beauty on sale at Nordstrom that will be heading towards my mailbox once I get it ordered tomorrow!

This Just In: {Studio Calico}

In addition to my regular Project Life kit subscription, I took advantage of the Last Call sale that Studio Calico had last week. And I'm so glad I did.

Seriously, how fabulous is this kit? It's the June Roundabout version and I love the colors. I truly believe these kits just keep getting better each month.

Even though I'm not doing Project Life anymore, I can use these kit components for my other scrapbooking projects (Sn@p binder, anyone?)

Yeah, that Field Notes tag? *Swoon*

SC also snuck in a little 'Sorry' button because two stickers were out of alignment in last month's kit? Um, really? Didn't even notice.

Last month I signed up for the Happy Little Moments Class and was looking for some small opaque envelopes. Voila! And a few more stamp kits to boot.

During the Last Call sale, I managed to snag the February 2013 Front Row scrapbook kit.

Mostly, I had my eye on those enamel dots...

... And the wooden die cuts.

That is a seriously thick roll of deco tape and I can't wait to start using it.

Since I was on a roll, I picked up the Navy Pier kit.

It's packed with papers, alpha stickers, washi tape from Freckled Fawn, a stamp set and more.

Still trying to decide what to do with those plastic letters. I'm sure I'll think of something :)

So ladies, what did you get in the mail today?
Links up if you got them!

In The Works

These lovely ladies will soon be cut to pieces and then stitched into
another quilt for the house.
Snip, snip.
