A Day Out

Mom and I went to the movies yesterday to see the new Narnia movie. I had those free passes from the Deathly Hallows episode. It's been awhile since I saw the second Narnia installation so I had kind of forgotten what happened. This one was good, although I'd dare say not as good as the first one. Maybe that was just because James McAvoy was in it.

After that we headed over to the mall because I initially wanted to swing by The Limited and get a few things for work. That went by the wayside when I couldn't really find anything I was happy with. I popped in to Charlotte Russe and picked up these instead.

I love this purple tank. I might add some sequins or small beads to it.

And this is perfect for work. Layering is essential there because the system is either set on Antarctic or Hell.

Movie Time!

As you can see, I've been a bit busy watching movies between trips up to Tufts to visit Nana and bumming around Dan's apartment. Truth be told, I didn't even make it through the last two movies. I had a feeling with The Time Traveler's Wife that the movie would ruin the book for me. Which is why I turned it off after 10 minutes or so. And I just couldn't get into The Education of Charlie Banks. What have you been watching this week?

June Movies

I think this is the beginning of a monthly blog post. I'm gonna keep track of all of the movies I watch within the month and then post them all in one lump post. Most of these I saw when Dan flew down to Louisville. Granted, I went and saw Avatar when it opened but I felt like I spent three days watching it so I listed it again. Remember Me was amazing. Rob really nailed that part. Prince of Persia was ok. The audio kept screwing up at odd moments, which made it extra funny. It took a few days for me to make it through Wolverine. I had Strep and kept falling asleep. So lucky for me, it was on pretty much every night. Broken Embraces was... hmm... it was good. I was crafting while it was on, which made it hard cause of all of the subtitles. My favorite, Get Him to the Greek. Literally laughing so hard I was crying. Go see it. Seriously.

Movie time!

Just got home from Wal-mart. I ran up there yesterday to print my book photo for my scrap page and being the complete idiot that I am known to be on occasion, forgot that I had cleared my camera card. *sigh*

Anyways, I was on my way out and decided to stop and see what Redbox had to offer. I ended up choosing The Lovely Bones and An Education. I read The Lovely Bones forever ago and wanted to see it when it first came out in theaters but never made it. I also had mixed views on it. It was either gonna be a really good movie, or a horribly bad one. I'm a big fan of all of the actors and I lovelovelove Saoirse Ronan who also played in Atonement, which happens to be one of my all time favorite movies. An Education features Carey Mulligan and Rosmund Pike who both starred in Pride & Prejudice, which is, you guessed it, another one of my all time favorite movies.

It's a win-win situation. So I'm off to veg for a while and watch some movies and possibly finish my scrap page.

I've got Musculo-Skeletal class all weekend when really I should be in Louisville at the Derby.
