Raindrop Technique

In class today we learned the Raindrop Technique and incorporated massage into it. It was heavenly, even though I kinda smelled like a mushroom and basil pizza when we were done. I was most excited about the kit we got from Young Living! It included Basil, Thyme, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Marjoram, Cypress, Oregano pure essential oils and the Valor and Aroma Seiz blends. It also came with some Ortho Ease and the V-6 carrier.

We concentrated on the spine and the feet but you can also do it on the arms or legs. The oils are applied in a certain order and the amount used varies per oil. For instance, Thyme is very irritating so we use less.

We started with the feet and applied all of the oils with the exception of the blends then wrapped each foot in warm damp hand towels. The massage came next. When that was done we took the towels off and had our clients roll onto their stomach. We then applied the oils to the back, this time using the blends as well. When all of the oils were on, we added warm towels and continued with the massage.

We ended up pairing up to practice on each other. I decided to get the treatment first because it's an hour drive home and I didn't want to be too mellowed out and not be able to drive. It was all cool and dandy except I had to pee SO bad half way through it that I ended up getting up and going. They say to drink a lot of water because the oils draw toxins and bad stuff out of your body. I guess I had too much water.

All in all, I liked it. Not only will my client benefit but I get to absorb some of the oils and get some of the aromatic benefits as well.
